About Nicky

Nicky has almost 30 years experience as a Physio and has seen first hand how the nervous system plays a role in keeping people in pain.

 

Her aim with Effortless Alignment is promoting holistic well-being through alternative medicine and natural healing methods. Her approach integrates various modalities to provide personalized treatments that address the root cause of imbalances and support your body's innate ability to heal.

 

With her and her wonderful community, you'll experience a harmonious blend of traditional wisdom and modern wellness practices.

Nicky has been treating me for my chronic back pain and arthritis affecting several joints for a few years now and she has made a huge difference to my quality of life. Nicky adopts a wholistic approach in her treatment and in my case personally, she has considered the impact of a serious illness and long term pain history on my nervous system, patterns of movement, daily function and emotional wellbeing.

 

Nicky’s Somatic Pilates courses are unlike any other Pilates classes I have attended. The small class numbers allow her to focus on each participant individually. Her focus is on empowering her clients to learn to listen to their bodies, identify the “problem” areas, to strengthen their bodies through breathing and controlled movement and to be able to apply these principles in their daily life.

 

Nicky has an impressive breadth of knowledge and she has introduced me to practices to “calm” my nervous system, such as yoga nidra and body scan. Nicky’s kind and compassionate approach make me look forward to every session with her - she has a great sense of humour as well and we have been known to laugh through our treatment sessions! I always feel uplifted afterwards. Thanks to Nicky, I’m much more in control of my symptoms and more able to enjoy life!

The Nervous System Alignment community is a safe space to learn how to live in harmony by regulating your nervous system and supporting your body’s natural healing. If you struggle with recurring symptoms like headaches, pain, fatigue, anxiety, gut issues or burnout, you’ll learn how they can be linked to being stuck in fight-or-flight and how to shift back into calm, “rest and digest.”

Inside, I’ll share simple tools like breathwork, relaxation, somatic practices, and supportive routines, plus guidance on alignment and posture so you can soften tension, build strength, and move forward without stacking dysfunction.
